Particular attention has been given to accessibility to the school. It is located in Hennur.
NHIS is affiliated to CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) and HYBRID CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). Both curriculums help develop students’ skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, and prepares them for the next stage in their education.
HYBRID CBSE is one of the most popular school boards in India. The HYBRID CBSE board is a big advantage for students who keep relocating within the country. HYBRID CBSE schools are present in almost every city in India making it is easy to cope up with the curriculum of HYBRID CBSE if a child is transferred from any other board as the HYBRID CBSE board follows a standardised syllabus that aims to achieve cognitive, affective and psychomotor excellence, and helps enhance self-awareness and explore innate potential.
The Cambridge board encourages different schools of thought and emboldens students to think differently. The process of transferring from the HYBRID CBSE board or from any other board to the Cambridge board is made extraordinarily seamless at NHIS by offering students special supplementary classes which analysis a student’s level of education and helps bridge the gap.
A student at NHIS is welcome to shift boards after the end of each academic year.
We are opening admissions from Pre Primary to Grade 5.
We require the following documents for admissions to NHIS:
Culture are the customs, beliefs and the way of living shared by a particular society or a community. Culture influences how we see the world, how we see the community that we live in, and how we communicate with each other. Being a part of the society, culture influences our learning, remembering, talking and behaving. Culture and values are a part of our teaching pedagogy and we wholeheartedly believe in proudly imparting the great culture and the unparalleled value system of our country to our students.
Through enrichment pathway, our exclusive programme to boost radical approach in students, we help expand their Critical Thinking beyond text books and come up with creative inventions that will enhance their problem solving skills and work on finding solutions not only in Academics but also in life.
Sports helps in teaching lessons of life such as teamwork, accountability, self-confidence and self-discipline. As the strength, skills and stamina of a child increases through various sports, it helps in building self image too. At NHIS we renew vigour and energy that comes from physical activity. Sports is an integral part of our curriculum.
We follow HYBRID CBSE and Cambridge curriculum.
Admissions are done on basis of personal interaction with the child and the parent at the pre-primary level. We conduct basic competency tests for grades 1 and above.
Healthy students are better learners. As a partner in nurturing children along with the parents, we take the responsibility of healthy management for our students. Our aim is to raise awareness of healthy eating and good nutrition. Hence we provide an optional nutritious and delicous meal plan for a child’s physical and mental health.
At NHIS believe effective communication between a parent and the school is necessary for a child’s success. As we have a common goal to facilitate the best educational experience possible for a child, a special portal for parents to log in and view their child’s performance in school has been developed. The portal details and the log in ID and password will be provided at the time of admission. Additionally, the teachers will remain in constant contact with the parents via e-mail, sms, official porta, our social media portals and in person.
We understand that most parents are working, hence we have taken special care to design a top-notch day care facility. Our child care centre is a place where our parents can drop off their children in a safe and enjoyable environment and be assured that their child will be taken care of while at the same time learn, have fun and relax.
Yes, transport is provided. Unlike most schools, where children are dropped off outside the school gates, which poses a risk, we have ensured that the buses take the children directly to the basement of the school from where they can easily access their classes, mitigating any and all risks.
All the buses are well equipped with CCTV cameras and GPS tracking, enabling the parents to track the bus in real time using a mobile application. Additionally, the parents will also receive a notification when the child gets on the bus and gets off it. We take utmost care in providing all safety measures including safety grills, first aid kit, fire extinguishers, RFID cards, clear windows ensuring clear view of the inside, hence ensuring that a child is safe and comfortable while using the school transport.
Periodic progress reports are prepared to analyse a student’s performance in school, taking into consideration, academic and non-academic related activities. The reports are shared with the parents to open the discussion between a parent and a child. At NHIS we encourage and assist children to take responsibility of their behaviour, effort and learning. Our students’ progress is being monitored constantly at school through steady stream of home work and assignments, standardised tests, quizzes and projects. Constructive feedback is shared during parent teacher meetings.
If we had to define Cambridge curriculum in a simple yet effective way, we would say it is International in philosophy and approach amalgamated with local elements and context. Cambridge curriculum provides the right knowledge and skills that helps a child understand their interests and enable them to make decisions about their future.
The curriculum offers a global and comprehensive approach to primary and secondary education which enables easy adaptation to professional courses in global universities. Schools can shape a Cambridge curriculum around how they want their students to learn, helping them discover new abilities and a wider world.
