Career Pathways Program
Career pathways Program
At NHIS, we believe in guiding students to make informed choices for their future. Our Career Pathways Program, led by the school’s career counsellor, provides structured support through one-on-one check-ins, helping students understand their unique skill sets through SWOT analyses and psychometric tests. The program includes workshops on resume building, skill development, and career readiness, alongside expert talks, foreign exchange opportunities, and industry interactions that give students real-world exposure. Parents are equal partners in this journey. Regular parent workshops are organized to help them understand evolving career landscapes and how to hold meaningful career conversations at home. This holistic approach ensures that students are well-prepared to align their aspirations with their strengths.
Psychometric tests for grades 10 and 11
At NHIS, we recognize that every child has unique strengths, interests, and aspirations. From Grades 8 to 10, students undergo a structured assessment process that helps identify their areas of strength and areas needing support. To ensure deeper understanding, the school also conducts psychometric tests that evaluate aptitude, skills, and personality traits. These insights are then used by our career counselor, who works closely with each student to guide them in making informed choices for Grade 11 streams and future academic pathways. This personalized approach ensures that children are not only prepared for success but also aligned with careers that match their potential and passion.
MUNs
At NHIS, we strongly believe in nurturing global citizens and confident leaders. Through Model United Nations (MUN) and Youth Parliament, our students gain exposure to world affairs, policy-making, and diplomatic dialogue. Our students have also represented themselves as diplomats at the Harvard and Yale MUN and won accolades. These platforms encourage them to research, debate, and present solutions to pressing global issues, helping them develop critical thinking, leadership, and oratory skills.
